Recently I shared this message with our staff at Spirit Media. I want to encourage you as I did them that God is faithful and rewards faithfulness:
2 Thessalonians 3:3 (NLT)
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.
Lamentations 3:22 (NLT)
The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT)
And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 (NIV)
“The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”
Many people who follow Jesus say when their life is over they want to hear: “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Matthew 25:21 (NLT)
“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!’
- We all value faithfulness.
- We stand on the faithfulness of God.
- We want faithful spouses, friends, service contractors, companies, and governments.
- We know God values faithfulness.
Lately, I’ve sensed God convicting me/us to model his faithfulness through our faithfulness back to him in 3 ways:
- Praise
- Prayer
- Sales
Praise…
Psalms 34:1-2 (NLT)
I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
This commitment overrides:
- Worry
- Doubt
- Fear
- Anxiety
- Bitterness
- Resentment
- Hatred
- Rejection
- Self centeredness
- Selfishness
Prayer…
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NLT)
Never stop praying.
Matthew 6:9-10 (NLT)
Pray like this:
Our Father in heaven,
may your name be kept holy.
May your Kingdom come soon.
May your will be done on earth,
as it is in heaven.
Matthew 16:19 (NLT)
And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.”
I tell my team God’s WHAT for Spirit Media is sales. His HOW is prayer. If God has called you into business you are called to sales. As Kings in His Kingdom our power supply is the Holy Spirit. Our boardroom and home office is His throne room. Our information technology system is prayer. Prayer up – company up. Prayer down – company down.
Sales…
God has given us specific callings that require sales.
Psalms 96:3 (NLT)
Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.
Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
This requires sales.
Matthew 24:14 (NLT)
And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.
This requires sales.
- Every business is called to sales.
- Every nonprofit is called to collect donations.
- Every church is called to collect tithes and offerings.
Joshua 1:7 (NLT)
Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.
Proverbs 11:3 (NIV)
The integrity of the upright guides them,
but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
Romans 5:3-5 (NLT)
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
- God developes character.
- God looks for character.
I sense God forecasting abundance and calling us to be unwavering in our faithfulness to praise, prayer, and sales. These depend on the mission of kingdom impact he has given us. I sense him saying it is GO time and we can’t allow abundance to cause us to ever SLOW down in praise, prayer, and sales.
