Hello, everyone. Welcome to today’s broadcast. I am, uh, Kevin White and I am recording this, uh, w playing from the USA. And I am so grateful to have you in the audience. If you’re on zoom, I want to welcome our partners from India, friends from the USA. Uh, we have friends from Africa. Uh, from, uh, Kenya, uh, in the audience.

And I’m so thankful for each and every one of the. I am Kevin White, the executive director of global hope India. And I want to share a powerful word from God today with you. And I want to illustrate it with you by doing something real quick here in the broadcast. We have friends watching on YouTube and LinkedIn and Facebook, and I would love to have.

Just a quick comment from you where you’re watching from who you are. Uh, and I would love to, to know that you are watching today’s broadcast and to welcome you into the show. So if you would please. Um, leave a comment if you’re watching via YouTube or LinkedIn or Facebook, uh, w that would be a great blessing to us.

Obviously, if you’re in the zoom audience, you can leave a comment right there on zoom as well. But I am grateful for each and every one of you. So I want to just illustrate today’s message before we get into God’s word. Are you ready for the illustration?

So nothing happened with your audio right there. I actually muted myself and sometimes we treat God as if he has gone through. And we can’t hear him anymore. And there are believers that actually argue whether God speaks today, will God has sent me into your life today to either affirm or to help you understand that God speaks and your not deaf.

Are you ready for the word of God? I want you to pay attention to what God has to say. And did you know that in his word? The phrase and God said can be found 1900 times in the Bible that is far more than five times for every day of the year. The Bible is using the phrase and God said, And so the very first point of today’s message is God speaks.

And I don’t want you to just go away thinking, well, Kevin said some things about God speaking. I want you to hear what God has to say about him speaking and. 1,900 times in the scriptures, we see the phrase and God said, God spoke to Adam. God spoke to Noah and to his sons, God spoke to Moses. The Bible records, these conversations, God spoke to a Z keel.

God spoke to job and to his friends. God spoke to Jacob. Right there as the scripture references, I’ll be sending out this slide on WhatsApp. If you’re not friends with me on WhatsApp, you can find me at the number, uh, one for the USA, 9 1 9. 3 3, 2, 1 9 9 0. I want to share this slide with you. You can also go over to my website.

Uh, later next week, Kevin White dot U S and the slot will be there as well. But God also spoke to David many times. Look at all those scriptures there on the screen to Solomon God spoke to Solomon. God spoke to a lie. Jah. God spoke to Isaiah. God spoke to Jonah, very clear messages to Hosea, to Zachariah, to Sol and Paul God spoke.

You might say. That’s great. That was in the Bible, but this is 2021. God doesn’t speak today. Well, let’s just see what God has to say about that because it’s not up to you and it’s not up to me to decide what God can and cannot do. Let’s look at what God’s word says, because this is not just something of historic value.

Let’s continue on. There are nine cases in the new Testament where Jesus initiated conversations. So the Bible makes it clear that Jesus is a hundred percent man and a hundred percent guide. So for every person that might argue well, that’s good, Kevin, God did speak in the old Testament, but we crossed over into the new town.

Look at what God’s word says this isn’t white. Kevin White says there are examples of how Jesus initiated the conversation with the Samaritan woman with a crippled beggar. Jesus started the conversation. Jesus spoke to them 100%. God, God, the father, God, the son. God, the holy spirit spoke 25 times. Jesus responded to other people’s questions.

The some examples are when the rich young ruler in Matthew came and spoke to Jesus. Jesus. I spoke to them. He had a conversation with them. The woman who was sick with hemorrhaging for many decades, came to Jesus and Jesus spoke to her. God, the son spoke to. Jesus spoke to tax collectors and sinners. He spoke to Herod.

He spoke to Nathaniel. He spoke to the woman caught in adultery. You might be thinking, okay. I understand. God’s word says he spoke in the old Testament. All right. I’m seeing that Jesus has God. So God speaks in the new Testament, but that’s good. But you don’t know the sin that I’ve committed. You don’t know the horrible things that I’ve thought in my head.

God’s not going to speak to someone like me. I w I put these examples in here on purpose, because it gives me comfort. If, if he can speak to tax collectors and sinners, I’m, I’m, uh, I’ve been a sinner as well. So I can have confidence that God’s willing to speak to. If he can speak to the woman caught in adultery, think about the, the shamefulness of that sin and how she was thrown at the feet of Jesus and how Tinder he responded to her with compassion, with love.

He would do the same for you and for me. So there is no person. That is more sinful, that that guide cannot speak to them. And that is true for you. And I, God also spoke in the marketplace. The Bible makes it very clear that Jesus spoke. In the marketplace and homes in the temple, even in wheat fields and out by the well, and so the point is Jesus is able to speak in every location where Jesus walked and taught.

And so look at this verse. Hebrews chapter 13, verse eight makes it very clear. Every argument needs to be silenced because the verse says, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, right there is God saying, Jesus is God Jesus spoke. And he, he will continue to speak because Jesus is the same yesterday.

We, we saw what he did in the Bible, but today. It is September the third, 2021. And anyone who wants to argue with all mighty God that he no longer speaks is arguing with the creator of the universe. You’re not arguing with me or with your pastor with, with other Bible teachers, you’re arguing with all mighty God and his word stops the argument, right?

You either listen and hear his word, or you rip it out of your Bible because you refuse to hear and to obey what God says, but it clearly says Jesus is the same. So Jesus spoke. So it is saying Jesus spoke yesterday. Today and forever, you might even argue and say, but Jesus ascended back to the father. He is not on planet earth.

You’re not going to find Jesus by a well or in the wheat fields of life today, not in the marketplace today, but look at what Jesus said to us. He said my sheep, listen to my voice. That is powerful. My people, my children, my followers, listen to my voice. I know them. And they follow me. Have you ever watched a shepherd guiding sheep?

The shepherd just uses a few words, but that sheep’s ear is tuned to the Shepherd’s voice and they follow, they could be heading toward a cliff where they would drop and die. And in one word, the. The shepherd, stares them back into safety because they hear his word and they tune his ears to his word and they follow the shepherd.

The Bible uses that illustration to say that Jesus is the good shepherd. And here Jesus is saying my sheep, my people, my children, the people born again of the holy spirit. They, they listen. To my voice. Why would he say that? If it was not possible on September the third, 2021, to hear his voice, you say, but Jesus is not here.

So look at what Jesus said though. Jesus said, but the helper, the holy spirit, whom the father will sin and my name, he will teach you all things. And bring to your remembrance. All that I have said to you. So Jesus had just made a radical statement to the disciples and he said, it’s for your good, that I’m going away before he ascended up through the clouds, back to the right hand of the father, Jesus said, it’s actually for your good, that I’m going away.

That was a hard thing for them to understand. Finally, they’re beginning to accept that he is the Messiah. He is the son of God, the son of man, and now he’s leaving, but Jesus had humbled himself and taken, taken own skin, just like my skin and your skin. And at that moment, God in the form of God, the son was geographically confined to human flesh and you could only be in the presence of God.

When you, when you were in the presence of Jesus, if you were around his skin, he could not, skin cannot be 24, 7, 365. God is omniscient and he is everywhere present, but Jesus had humbled himself and. So at that moment to be in the presence of Jesus was to be in the presence of God. But you had to be in the presence of Jesus while there’s people all over the face of the earth.

That could not be right in the middle of the, in the very presence of Jesus. And so Jesus says, it’s for your good, that I’m going away because the father will send the helper, the holy spirit to you. And now we see something greater than being in the presence of. You know, the only thing greater than you being in the presence of God, there’s only one thing the Bible ever gives us.

That’s greater than you being in the presence. Do you know what it is? I’ve said it before on a previous broadcast, I’ve written about it in my new book. Um, get to the point, the only thing greater than you being in the presence of God is the presence of God being in. That is an incredible gift that God has given to us through the holy spirit.

And Jesus said the holy spirit will come and he will remind you everything. I have said. Now he could have said the holy spirit will remind you everything I did, but he specifically said the holy spirit will remind you. Well, if I’m going to remind one of my coworkers, something that I said in a staff meeting last Monday, I don’t have to use vocabulary.

Don’t have to use words, send them a text, email down, speak to them. It takes communication. It takes conversation. Jesus is pointing to a future conversation with God. The living God of the universe, Hebrews chapter three verses seven through 11 says, this is why the holy spirit says today. When you hear his voice, don’t harden, your hearts as Israel did back then when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness there, your ancestors tested and tried my patience.

God is speaking here, even though they saw my mirror. For 40 years. So I was angry with them and I said, their hearts always turned for me. God considers anyone who is unwilling to listen to his voice as having a hardened heart that is turned away from God. He, this could be a believer or an unbeliever.

There’s no difference between a person who has not received Jesus only for salvation. Who refuses to hear the voice of God and someone who has never heard of Jesus, who does not know the voice of God. There’s no difference. They are both considered as hardened hearted turned away from God. He says they refuse to do what I tell them.

Here are the implication of conversation there. So in my anger, I took an oath. They will never enter my place of. Jesus said, come to me all you who are Riri and heavy burden, and I will give you rest. And here God is saying those people who refuse to hear my voice will never enter my rest. There is a gift.

The evidence of knowing that you have been in the presence of God is clarity and rest. And right here, God warns us through the writer of Hebrew. That the holy spirit is speaking to God. So what can we sum up? That’s been a lot of teaching through the Bible. I wanted you to hear it from God, not just from me, but I want you to get this point, write it down.

Remember it, pay attention to it today. God speaks by the son. Jesus Christ. Through the holy spirit. God, the father, God, the son, God, the holy spirit today, September the third, 2021, September the four, September the fifth, October the third, November the 12th, December the 21st. As long as the Lord tarries today, tomorrow when you wake up tomorrow, God speaks.

He will be speaking by the sun through the holy spirit. That’s a principle that we get from God’s word that makes all the difference in the world. The Bible teaches us that the holy spirit speaks through the Bible. When you are reading the word of God, the holy spirit is your teacher speaking on behalf, uh, of, of almighty guide God.

The spirit, the holy spirit is a hundred percent. God, God is speaking through his word. God is speaking. When we pray, you know, God gave us two ears and one mouth and prayer should use all three of those vital organs. And one third should be us talking pleading, um, unburdening ourselves praising God, but two thirds should be us listening.

The holy spirit has so much, he wants to share with us about the love, the care, the compassion. Of God through prayer. He also speaks through other believers. I don’t want you to hear what Kevin White is saying right now. I want you to hear what the holy spirit is saying through me right now. That’s what will bear fruit.

When we go to worship, we should be living. Setting on the edge of our chair. Every time a pastor teacher evangelist, Sunday school worker, gospel worker breaks forth the word of God. We should be listening. Other believers and wise counsel parents that are godly friends that are godly. The holy spirit can speak through them.

And through circumstances through circumstances, there are many times we are trying our best to get a particular job that God knows will destroy. And we’re getting a no after no after no. And we need to hear what the holy spirit is saying in those circumstances. God is protecting us many times, disciplining us many times, and we need to long for that because we can hear God speak.

Even through circumstances. I want you to, to see here in. The second part of God speaks. It’s important. So let’s just say that we agree right now that God speaks and you understand that the word of God declares that God speaks. Well, remember that illustration I did in the very beginning where I spoke without volume, I’ll just illustrate it again.

Well, if you didn’t see me on the screen, you may have thought I just went away there. I was actually muted so that you could not hear me. And sometimes we treat God like that, but you need to understand on the authority of God’s word, God speaks, but he sent me here to tell you something else. And that is your not deaf.

You’re not deaf. And I’m not talking about physical impairment. There are brothers and sisters around the world that are physically deaf, but even they can hear the voice of God. There is no one on planet earth, so deaf that they cannot hear God speak. And so let’s look at what God’s word says about that.

I want you to see and Samuel. It says the Lord came to Samuel. They’re calling as, at other times, Samuel, Samuel, then Samuel said, speak for your servant is listening. I think I have skipped a few slides here. Let me try to get back to where I want to. I want you to go to the very beginning. Uh, of this, sorry, my pointer skipped a few slides.

So let’s start over with this story. First, Samuel chapter three, verses seven through 11. It says now Samuel did not yet know the Lord. The word of the Lord had not yet been revealed. To him a third time, the Lord called Samuel and Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, here I am. You called, so God is speaking to Samuel, but he thinks Eli is the one doing the talking, why Samuel is sleeping.

And then it says, it says, uh, I think it. Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel go and lie down. And if he calls you say, speak, Lord, your servant is listening. So Samuel went and laid down in his place. So Eli, a godly man in Samuel’s lie, discipled Samuel. And he said, I’m not the one doing the talking.

God must be speaking to you. So if you hear him call out to you. Speak Lord, your servant is listening. And so the Lord said to Samuel, see, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it today. And Samuel began to understand that God was speaking to him and Eli taught him how to hear the voice of God.

And I want you to understand this principle when you’re not confident in your ability to hear, I want you to be confident in God’s ability to speak. This is not working. Can you try to change that battery?

I want you to be confident in God’s ability to speak. If you’re not confident in your ability to hear then be confident in God’s ability to speak.

Every look, look at this, look at these promises of God. Sorry. My. My presentation is okay. I want you to receive these promises out of God’s word about him speaking. We’ll we’ll let the video catch up here so that you can see the slide there. So let’s look at the promises out of God’s word promise. Number one, every child of God can hear God.

It says in John chapter eight, verse 46. Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God. Now that verse is not there to try to convince you that you have never been born again. Of the spirit. It is to empower you with the expectation because you are a child of God.

You can hear God speak. You’re not deaf. God wants you to understand you are not deaf. It is important and vital for you to hear the voice of God in your life. Now. You can hear practical guidance, Isaiah chapter 30 verse 21 says, and your ears shall hear a word behind you saying this is the way walk in it.

When you turn to the right, or when you turn to the. That is so practical. God promising that you will not only hear from God, but you will hear practical guidance from God. You can expect it, be empowered with that expectation from God. And then it says you can hear your heavenly father, Matthew chapter seven, verse 11.

So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your church. How much more will your heavenly father give good gifts to those who ask him? I love this verse before I came on the air. One of our partners in India prayed over me and he literally prayed as little children. We can come to the father and boldly asked for what we need and just think about it.

If I’m a good father and I do want to be good to my children, aren’t I going to have conversations with them? If I were muted my whole life, think about the impairment, the dysfunction that would be in my relationship with them. If I never spoke to them, I want them to grow and mature into, uh, Christ followers and to godly representatives for the Lord.

But yet I never talked to them. I never share them in my love. I never, I never speak to them. And yet, if I can expect that as a sinful father, I know how to speak to my children. Why can’t we accept that our heavenly father can speak to us. This is a promise. You can hear your heavenly, father’s speak to you.

You can hear that

number. I want you to get the S the S the second point here, and that is barriers to hearing God speak. There are three barriers to hearing God speak. Fear will keep you and I from hearing God speak, shame will keep you and I, and denial. If you are willing, you can just spend your whole life saying, I don’t believe God speaks today.

And you probably are not going to hear his voice because of denial. But all three of these have been confronted and addressed in the word of God. Look at first, John chapter four, verse 17 through 19,

John says. Love is made perfect in us when we are not ashamed. As we stand before him on the day he judges for, we know that our life in this world is his life lived in us. There is no fear in love. Perfect love puts.

Hm. Puts fear out of our hearts. People have fear when they fear of being punished. The man who is afraid does not have perfect love. We love him because he first, he loved us first. So right there, the word says that we can be cure. Of our fear and that would keep us from hearing the voice of God. And so I want you to understand that love makes hearing God possible.

Love intimacy with the Lord connection with the Lord is, is what makes it possible, but it needs to be founded in love. You, and I need to accept that God so loved the world. He loves you. And let that be a foundation in our relationship with Lord. With, with the Lord, we need a foundation of love. God throws a party over you.

You are the apple of God’s eye, God sings over you with joy. Do you have an intimate love relationship with God that is growing? That is living. That is dynamic. That is practical. If so, you’re going to hear the voice of God. If you think God is against you, that his wrath is waiting for you. You’re not going to want to hear his voice.

And so if there is. A hearing problem, then there is a love problem. And so the barrier is fear. If there’s a hearing problem, there is a love problem. So I want you to understand the rules here for hearing God’s voice. And that is there’s this really one, and that is God will never contradict his word.

He’s never going to speak in such a way that he would violate his own word. People who said, God told me to drive a plane into this building. Have not heard from the living God of the universe, or God told me to leave my wife or God told me to kill my children. No, that is not the voice of. Numbers 23 verse 19 says, God is not a man.

So he does not lie. He is not human. So he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? And so he’s never going to contradict his word. Look at first, John chapter four, verse one, dear friends. Do not believe anyone who claims to speak. I’m sorry.

Do not. Let me start over. Dear friends do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God for there are many false prophets in the world. And so the prophet that you and I want to hear is the profit that allows the scripture from cover to cover, to stay.

And never contradict what God says in his word look at.

So here is one practical question that we all need to ask. Does this align with the word of God? If so, then you can be assured it is coming from God. If it does not align with his. Then you and I need to need to ignoring run from it because what God is going to say to us is going to align with his word.

Therefore, we need the holy spirit to teach us the word of God. It’s very important that you and I know the word and we regularly ask this question, does this align with the word of God? So there’s one required. We’re getting to the end. God speaks. You’re not death. And there’s one requirement seek that’s the requirement.

That’s it. The only thing you and I have ever been given and the word of God in order to hear his voice, his voice is to see Jesus said, seek, and you will find, he says, if anyone hears my voice, And so it is possible to hear the voice of God, if anyone hears my voice. And so, as Eli taught Samuel, I want you and I to go away with this practical prayer of seeking, to hear the voice of God speak, Lord, your servant is listening.

Is that the prayer of your heart? Do you and I regularly. Seek to hear what God says. Every guidance, every provision is available to you today in the presence of God, will you pray? Speak, Lord. Your servant is listening less pray.

I want to share with you. As we are going to the, the word in prayer. If you want to turn on your videos, I want to just encourage everyone watching on YouTube and LinkedIn and Facebook, as we pray, you’ve heard the word of God. I know that there are many of my friends on zoom right now that are. And very difficult places.

My heart goes out to everyone in Afghanistan right now, everyone, uh, in the U S uh, the U S has been, um, experiencing a major horrific storm hurricane Ida. Um, many people died, um, millions are without power, um, hundreds and even thousands are without homes. Uh, it affected from the Gulf of Mexico all the way through New York city, the entire country of the U S just gutted by hurricane Ida.

Many are displaced and, and they’re without water there without fuel there without electricity. And our prayers are with them. God is an ever present help in time of. And I know that it’s raining heavily in many parts of India right now. I know that India, uh, I just saw a report last week that COVID-19 has set India back financially more than one decade.

And so all of the developed. And the prosperity that India had had before COVID-19 has now been backed up over 10 years. Um, and so we know that there’s widespread hunger and devastation throughout India, and, um, many people are in rough places. And I just want to pray, um, that you would hear the voice of God.

Like there are gifts from God that money can’t buy. We could send money for fuel and for water and for many things that money can buy. But the, the precious gifts of life are things that only God can give that money cannot buy. There are people even, even in the audience that will see this who believe that if they just had enough money there, their problems would go away.

And yet we need the presence of God. More than ever before. If there’s any lesson from COVID-19 from hurricane Ida, from the wildfires in the west of the United States to the conflict in Afghanistan, all this gives us the lesson that we must have a daily. Moment by moment, relationship with God where we live.

Moment by moment and his presence. I want to pray and ask God for that over you less. Heavenly father. I thank you for these precious friends, people on zoom watching on YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and I know that their needs are great, but hallelujah, you are greater. And so I pray in the name of Jesus that you will be an ever-present help in time of need.

I pray asking that they would be given a keen awareness of your presence and that you would do whatever it takes to give them a pass. Oh, my father give them a passion to every day, pursue the presence of God and Lord, would you speak to them? I thank you for your ability to. Lord. I just pray for miracle upon miracle that scales would come off of our eyes and wax would come out of our ears, that we can hear your voice.

Everything changes when we hear one word from you, everything. So I pray for guidance, Lord. I just written in the you’ve. You’ve gotten me to write. Get to the point that clarity and rest are evidence of being in your presence. And I ask you for the gift of clarity, if they don’t have generators and power and water and food father, would you give them clarity of what their next step is?

And would you give them rest? Many people are trying to sleep tonight and horrible. Hi. The, uh, environments, and I just pray in the name of Jesus for provision that only you can provide to. Father, would there be rest in the name of Jesus over every person that is suffering right now? And Lord, would you just hear the cry?

Let it be just like lights around the globe from the United States and Pakistan to Afghanistan, to Thailand, to India, to, uh, Nepal and Nicaragua to Uganda, Canada, Mexico, and everywhere in between. That you just began to see the church of the Lord, Jesus Christ, fire up as we passionately pursue your presence in our lives.

Lord, I thank you for my brothers and sisters, and I just pray your blessing over them. Would you allow their hands to lack? No good gift from your hands. Speak Lord. Your servants are listening. Would you tune our ears to your voice? Would you guide us and would you provide, and we will give you praise. We will be distinguished by the presence of God, not by our bank accounts, not by how big our churches are.

Not by our homes, not by our clothes, but by your presence, we will allow your presence to be the distinguishing factor. And our lives father. I pray this over every brother and sister in Jesus name. Amen.
