Fortunately, Easter is not something we have to go to church in order to celebrate. Because the presence of God is with us wherever we are. He is an ever present help in time of need. So many people are coming in. I just want to welcome each and every one of you. If you’re with a group, take your camera and pan it around the room so that we can see all the smiling faces. And I really believe he has given a powerful word of encouragement. I want to just finally say happy, Good Friday to each and every one of you. On our celebration of the of the birth, the life, the death, the burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Today is the day that we remember that he hung on a cross for each and every one of us we remember that he was lower down into the grave. And we live on the other side of the cross. So we know Sunday’s coming. But put put yourself into the presence of the disciples and the followers that day, when it looked like all possible salvation was lost, and over and that Satan had the victory. And remember what the word allows us to know that on Sunday, the third day Jesus rose, proving that he holds the keys to life and death. And so I’m going to start sharing my screen now. And I want you to have some of the some of the slides here. So let me go over there we go. And we’re just gonna go back to the beginning here. Let me get this set up here.

I want to remind us that when Jesus began His earthly ministry, he was in the temple, and he took the scrolls. And he, he opened them up to Isaiah. And he said, that he has come to set the captives free. And he wrote up the scrolls, and he sat down, and he said, today, this is fulfilled in your hearing. And so, I want to share a message of freedom today freedom that only God can give you and I a message entitled God’s gift of opportunity. And so let me share with you the message that God has entrusted to me. And I really believe it will be a source of encouragement for you. I want to pray over you before we look to God’s word, Heavenly Father, I thank you for my friends on zoom on Facebook, on YouTube, people who are seeing it right now, as well as people who will see this message in the years to come. And I pray Father, God, that you would allow this to be a demonstration of a Spirit’s power, that I would be hidden behind the cross, and people would not necessarily see me, but that they would hear the Word of God, they would hear your voice and that transformation would come as we change our mind and allow your perspective about giving to become our perspective. We love you and praise you in Jesus. Amen, man. So Easter, all opportunity, and are you ready for God’s word and opportunity? So, opportunity is the situation in which it is possible for you do something that, that for you to do something? It is? Okay, all right, it is a good chance for advancement or progress. That’s what the definition of opportunity is. Well, God has his definition of opportunity. And that is a situation in which it is possible for you to experience God, and to see what God can do through you. And God’s opportunity includes a chance for you to be what God has created you to be. Maybe you’ve been told that you are an accident. I want you to know today that you are no accident that you are born with purpose, and God’s called opportunity for you. So are you ready for God’s word? If we could just pan over to zoom and see everyone I’d love to just see you celebrate? Did we just get put our hands together for the Word of God today? It is exciting that we have a creator that loves us and speaks to us and gives us His word for today. What we’re going to be looking at Deuteronomy, chapter 30, verses 15 through 20. If you’ll turn there with me and your Bibles to Deuteronomy, chapter 30, verses 15 through 20. I want to share this exciting story of opportunity. So it says here, now listen, today, I am giving you a choice, right there is where the gift of opportunity is identified a choice between life and death. So it says Now today, I’m giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster. For I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to keep his commands, decrees and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply. And the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy. Timeout for a minute. Have you realize God’s blessings on the land under your house, you might be in a high rise apartment. But I want you to know that as a child of God, it is your right to ask God to bless the land. He cares about the soil, the nutrients, the water, everything that brings blessing out of the earth, into your life. The land, I want you to know that this verse was written before Jesus went down into the grave and came up out of the earth. He was put into a tomb and he came up as a risen Savior. So I want you to understand that God’s blessings are not just for you, but for the land under you. That’s how much he desires to bless you. So it says and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are about to enter unoccupied. But if you turn your hearts away,

and you refuse to listen, and if you are drawn away to serve and worship other gods, then I warn you now that you will certainly be destroyed, you will not live a long and good life in the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy. Today, I have given you a choice. There’s the invitation of opportunity again, between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth, to witness the choice you make, or the opportunity you take, which choice are you going to make? Which opportunity what you take, and he pleads with us, oh, that you choose life, so that you and your descendants might live. I want you to see that word descendants there. Because justice God is blessing you. And blessing the soil under your feet. He is blessing your descendants, your children, your grandchildren, your great great grandchildren to 1000 generations. Your choices today, matter 1000 generations from now. So choose wisely. Take the right opportunity. God has a gift called opportunity. He says, You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God obeying Him and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. You know, you have to have a key to start a car, you have to have a key to open a gate, a key to open a door. Right here. He says here is the key to your life. It’s that important. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land I swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. There’s a promise right there that comes with God’s gift of opportunity. So I want you to see here, this passage we just read allows us to come to an intersection of life called opportunity. And on one side is like a fork in the road that leads to life, prosperity, blessings, and on the other side is a fork in the road that leads to death, disaster, and curses. And so which path are you going to take? What will be your choice, God has a gift. This is this is a gift for you to go toward life, prosperity and blessings. But it’s a choice that you can make. I want you to see something here about this gift of opportunity. It says of Revelation, chapter three, verse 20. Now, look, I stand at the door and knock. If you open. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends. What a beautiful image of intimate friendship with Almighty God. But I want you to hear something in this verse. God sent me today to encourage someone to see that opportunity is literally knocking at your door. Opportunity is literally knocking at your door knocking at your door. That’s how much he desires for you to take this gift of opportunity. Look at Matthew seven verse seven, keep on asking and you will receive what you asked for Keep on seeking and you will find keep on knocking and the door will be open to you. You have to take God’s gift of opportunity. You have to take it if I give you this pin, you have to take it you have to reach out your hand and take this pin. If I give you a gift of life you have to take it and I encourage you to hear the passion of God this Easter we celebrate the Passion of Christ and you need to understand the passion is for you. The passion is for your life. The passion is to give you and everyone this gift of opportunity. But you have to take it

So God offers opportunity for the forgiveness of sin, to be made right with God, for eternal life, for God’s blessings for rest. Last month, we talked about an encounter with God, if you missed that message, I encourage you to go back after today and view it on Facebook or on YouTube. But you need to understand that we were not born connected to God. And so he gives us an opportunity to reestablish that connection with him. He offers us opportunity to have the fruit of this Holy Spirit in our life. Look at this out of Galatians it says that the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit and our lives love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. There is not one person listening to the sound of my voice that does not want this fruit. But it’s an opportunity from God, that we have to take as we allow the Holy Spirit to have place in our life. God offers opportunity for wisdom, guidance, provision, truth, you need all of these, I need all of these, these are opportunities from God. You can get these from the world. Or you can get these from God. And I strongly encourage you to get wisdom, guidance, provision, truth from God gives us light, I want you to just see the gift of this verse. Or once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the Lord. So live as people of light for this light within you produces only what is good and right and true. This is Ephesians chapter five, verses eight, and nine. Every one of us know what it’s like to be out on a dark path where you cannot see, if you don’t have a torch light with you, a flashlight, a phone with you, you’re going to stumble, you’re going to fall, you’re going to get hurt. But this is an opportunity for you to have light that comes only from God in your life.

Opportunity is powerful. Education is an opportunity. Going to college is an opportunity. Study in your Bible is an opportunity. Prayer is an opportunity. God is constantly giving you an eye, this gift of opportunity, even money, leveraged responsibly is an opportunity. Well, the opposite is also true. I have met so many people in India, the Philippines, Thailand, around the world that lack opportunity, they have a sense that they have no opportunity to better themselves to get an education to get out of the lifestyle of poverty that they’ve been born into. Well, it says in Proverbs 29, verse 18, where there’s no vision, the people perish. Another translation of this same verse says, when people do not accept divine guidance, they run wild. What this verse is saying is the people who do not accept God’s gift of opportunity, perish, they run wild, but whoever obeys the law obeys the Word of God is joyful. Proverbs 29 Verse 18. I want us to understand that God gives equal opportunity, regardless of skin color, hallelujah, regardless of nationality, praise God for all of our nations. Regardless, regardless of Ness in that, in that city, regardless of economic status, regardless of gender, praise God, equal opportunity. So if you feel like you have been born in an underdeveloped country, and you don’t have the same opportunity as other people that you might see in movies, or you might see in on the internet, you should know that the giver of opportunity is not the United States. It’s not England, it’s not Australia, whatever you might admire as a prosperous country, you need to understand each of us understand that God is the giver of opportunity, and he gives it equally. So taking God’s gift of opportunity requires starting small. You and I have been called by God to change the world. But that happens when we allow God to change us. Jesus even said, Why don’t you worry about the speck in your brother’s eyes when you need to deal with the plank in your own eyes. And so I can’t control you. I can’t control my brothers and sisters around the world, whether they will take God’s gift of opportunity or not. The only person I can decide for is me. I passionately plead with you have to accept God’s gift of opportunity. But all I can control is myself. Start small, change the world by allowing the Holy Spirit to change you and you will be changing the world.

People who take God’s get the opportunity see problems as God’s opportunity. You can talk about your problems all day long, and get depressed. But if you will talk about God’s opportunity in the midst of your problems, you will shake the problems off your back and rise up higher and rise up higher and rise up higher. But don’t focus on your problems. Focus on the guy who says nothing is too difficult for me. Nothing, nothing. Focus on God’s opportunity. People who take God’s opportunity, as a gift have high expectations of God. They value partnership with God and others, it may be impossible for you to have a roof over your head, it may seem impossible for you to have groceries for the next week right now. It may seem impossible for you to survive COVID-19 Maybe it seems impossible that you’ll ever get a high paying job or that you’ll ever get admitted into a college, you should understand that God is offering you a partnership with himself. The gift of opportunity is not some gift outside of the presence of God. The gift of opportunity is the presence of God, He is with you. He is an ever present help. When you go in to apply to that job. God is going in with you. When you are going in to prayer for your next meal. God is with you. He is placing you in partnership with himself and with others. Thank you for your comment. Monika, thank you so much. So you need to focus on giving instead of receiving people who take God’s gift of opportunity, focus on giving, instead of receiving, if we are absent to opportunity in our mind, we go to God who has unlimited opportunity. And he immediately shifts us in our actions from gimme, gimme, gimme, receive, receive receive to what about others? How can I give and we no longer are allowed by God to just focus on ourselves. But he blesses us with opportunity by whispering what about others? What about others that do not know that I’m an ever present help in time of need? People who take God’s gift of opportunity, talk less and do more, talk less and do more. We can talk all day long, about our problems and about the challenges that we face. Uh, we can get up and realize that God is an ever present help in time of the God is with us. So I’m not going to sit here and watch I’m going to worship and I’m going to put feet to my worship. And I’m going to go out and bless others in Jesus name, they talk less, and they do more. They serve others instead of being served even Jesus, we are celebrating the life, the death, the burial, the resurrection of Jesus. And now, as we put our faith in Him, we are followers of Jesus Christ, who said, The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for others. People who take God’s gift of opportunity serve others instead of themselves.

They can play less, and give thinks more, complain less and give things more, they empower others with opportunity. God is waiting for his church, to receive opportunity, experience, opportunity, and Gil opportunity. And you and I can either be a channel of his gift of opportunity, or we can be a damn of it. And the word warns us that if we block the goodness of God in our lives, we will stop experiencing it if we refuse to give it. And so if you want the gift of opportunity, you’re going to have to commit to be a person that gives opportunity to others. And this can be small, but you don’t suppress someone else. We don’t walk on top of people to get up the ladder in God’s economy, we go down and serve people to climb the ladder and God’s kingdom. And finally, people who take the gift of opportunity, take courage, and they’re not afraid to fail. Nowhere in the Bible are we ever told to pray for courage, we are always instructed to take courage. Paul told Timothy, God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Jesus said, we have the gift of have, we have the gift, that perfect love, Jesus said perfect love casts out fear. And so we can get out from under any sense of fear in our lives. So why, every Monday night, I lead a Bible study group on Zoom, a message application group, where we listen to our pastors messages on Sunday, and then Monday night we gather together. And my most favorite question is so what? Why would God give us this message? Why would he give us this word? What is the application to God’s gift of opportunity? It is to move us from expectation. Do opportunity. I want you to understand here that God is waiting for you and I to take this get this expectation from God. And to get rid of it. And to realize that God is not it’s spectating us, he is giving opportunity to us. You might say, But wait a minute, Kevin, don’t don’t rip that up too fast. Because we read Deuteronomy, chapter 30. And it clearly says, I command you. That doesn’t sound like opportunity. It sounds like God is expecting of me. And I want you to understand, there is a big difference between the word command and the word control. guy could have created all of us to be robots, programmed us we would be perfect. We would love him perfectly. But that’s not love. In order for God to receive pure love from me and from you. He had to give us a choice, a free will. And we have a choice. And we can decide if we are going to take God’s gift of opportunity. But I want you to realize that God is not expecting things from you. He’s giving an opportunity for you. So I want you to take the expectation from God. And I want you to rip it up and receive the opportunity from God move from expectation to opportunity. Look at this passage. You will Want to know so why? Well right here is where this word comes together with the message of audacious generosity. It says, guilt and you will receive, Your gift will return to you and full, press down, shaken together to make room for more running over poured into your lap, the amount you give will determine the amount you get back, Luke 620, Luke 638. And I want you to know that when it comes to giving, God is not expecting you to give he does not need what you hold in your bank account or in your wallet. Giving is an opportunity. I want you to receive that I need you to get this deep down into your spirit when it comes to giving. Giving is an opportunity. It is not an expectation from God. It is an opportunity a gift. Jesus said It is more blessed to give than to receive. It is an opportunity. Stop allowing the enemy to rob you of the blessings of God by tricking you into thinking that God expects you to give. No, it’s a choice. And it comes with an opportunity for life, prosperity and blessing. Look at this tithing is an opportunity. Just listen to God’s word. Maybe you’ve heard bad things in your tradition, in your past about tithing, but listen to God’s word. Bring all the time a 10th of what you earn, into the storehouse into the local church so that there may be enough food and my temple. If you do, says the Lord of Heavens, armies, I will open up the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing. So great, you won’t have enough room to take it all in Try me. Put me to the test. Malikai three, verse 10. Tithing is an opportunity. So many believers, brothers and sisters around the world thinks God expects 10% of their income. It is a choice, and it is an opportunity. And he has given you either you can live under a blessing of the 90%. Or you can live under a curse of the 100%. What do you choose? God has given you an I an opportunity? So mindset change. Romans chapter 12. verse one says, we are transformed as we change our minds. Are you ready to let the Holy Spirit change your mind? expectations from God need to change to our expectations of God? There’s a big difference. And it’s two little bitty words, but the enemy will wreak havoc in your life. If you think that expectations are from God. Expectations matter, but they matter as our expectations of God. Does God have your back? Are you secure? Yes. And yes. Can you give your life for others? Yes. Will God take care of you? Yes. is given an opportunity. Yes is tied in an opportunity. Yes, change your expectations.

We also see here

that we need to allow the perspective of God to become our perspective. Stop allowing the world and your tradition to define God’s gift of opportunity in your life. You need to let God show you that he’s the giver of opportunity. And you need to realize that His mercy and His compassion are new every morning, you wake up every morning to a god ready to give you opportunity, ready to give you life, prosperity and blessings. But you’ve got to allow God’s perspective to become your perspective that requires a mindset change. So I want to leave you with three statements. I hope you’ll write these down. Three statements that you and I need to think on as we go into the Easter celebration. The first one is your worst circumstances may be God’s best opportunity. I want you to think of Easter, he literally took a grave and turned it into a garden. God is a God that takes graves, and turns them into feast into gardens. And no matter what you’ve done, no matter what’s happened to you, no matter what you’ve been through, God can take every evil done against you, every evil that has been done by you. And he can bury it and turn it into a resurrection, by the power of the Holy Spirit within you to become a garden, to become a flourishing blessing of life, prosperity and blessing into the watching world that desperately needs to know that God is offering them an opportunity. Let the enemy stop hearing now from forcing and tricking us into believing that all God has his expectations of us know he has a gift of opportunity for us. The second statement I want you to receive is that the only proper response to God’s generosity is generosity. The only proper response, if you can receive God’s gift of opportunity, receive it, experience it, and allow the Holy Spirit to show you his ways have you given it to others, God wants you not only to receive opportunity, but to become an agent of opportunity. You can feed orphans, you can be used of God to put roofs over other people’s heads, you can be used to give bibles to people, this Easter, we are celebrating Easter in India by giving hundreds of brand new believers Bibles, they’re $3 Each, you can go to global hope india.org. And you can sponsor a Bible, you can pay for someone else’s college, there are orphans in India without moms and dads that need $300 $500 to pay for their college. We’re not talking like 40,000 that you might have to pay in the USA, for less than $1,000 You can pay for someone’s college and India, you can be an agent of opportunity. The only proper response to God’s generosity is generosity. And then finally oops. The best regards opportunity is to give God opportunity to be God in your life. The Bible says, We love because we first been loved. So the Bible says we take God’s love, and then we show love to others. That’s the only way in which we’re going to have love to give to others. The same is true of opportunity, we take opportunity. And the best thing that we can do is an act of worship this Easter is to say, God, you’ve given me so much opportunity in my life. I just want to give you opportunity back. I want you to be who you say you are, and to do what you say you will do in my life. Thank you for the gift of opportunity. I give you the opportunity to have your way and my life. Let’s pray. And as we pray, I’m going to encourage you to go over

to turn on your camera if your camera’s off. And to just raise your hands toward God. Just raise your hands toward the heavens. So if you’ll not show me show phones, zoom, you just need to stop shooting

so if you’ll lift your hands as I pray, just lift your hands up before the Lord. And let me pray for you. Heavenly Father, I thank you for my brothers and sisters here on this call. And people watching on YouTube people watching on Facebook. And I just think you that you’re an ever present help in time of need and that you are there with them and that you care for them. You care about their next meal. You care about their groceries a week from now. You care about their clothing, you care about their housing, you care about their education for their children. You care about their physical bodies and many people are needing healing today. And they need financial help and they need Your provisions and so I just pray thanking you that that you are a gracious, kind and plentiful father. And I pray that as you give us this gift of opportunity, that every one under the sound of my voice would give you opportunity right back, that we would we would worship a resurrected Savior this Easter, by giving you a gift of opportunity to just have your way in our life. May you know that we trust you may we may you know that we commit ourselves to you may you know that we put our faith in you, and may you be glad and made you rejoice and, and and know that we are dependent upon you. That it’s not just words out of our mouth, but it’s actions with our feet and with our hands. And so you are worthy. You’re worthy of all of our praise. You’re worthy of all of our worship, you’re worthy of our devotion. And we choose life. We choose choose prosperity, we choose blessing, and we just ask you to have your way. We love you and we praise you. In Jesus name. Amen. Amen. So, praise God. Yeah, let me share here one last time my Okay, here we go.
